How many cities fit in a city?, 2018

in situ installation, street light, paper, transparent paper, pigment liner

In this piece the layout of the map of Palermo is draw on a transparent paper, while the map of Danisinni is cut out of the
paper on the back. When overlapped and installed against the light, one can see Danisinni in a distorted and bigger scale
positioned inside Palermo.

Danisinni is a neighbourhood near the center of Palermo but not known by most of the Palermitans. Its inhabitants suffer
from unemployment and abandonment of public policies, but at the same time they have a powerful Neighbourhood
Association that encourage diverse projects dedicatedto its population.
